Messaging Critical Information and Managing Misinformation
Refugee communities in Uganda have no access to information to reliable, accurate, and timely information; it is why we implement the Hagiga Wahid information service project. Having hundreds of subscribers on our SMS information services from different villages and parts of Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement, and when it is difficult to physically reach the community and broadcasted critical information, COVID19 prevention measures and encouraging the community to stay calm and always pay attention to only official guidelines
With false information spreading like wildfire and faster than the virus as the talk about the pandemic dominates in the community. We managing fears and misinformation: countering rumors and misinformation regarding the COVID19 by giving instant verification and are responding to questions with reliable information on what community members want to know about the pandemic
